The
adoption of any species of animal from BFFLR does not constitute a “Sale” by
which title or legal ownership is transferred to the adopter.
All adoptions will
be subject to the conditions of the Adoption
Agreement as long as the animal lives.
Adoption fees are
set at the discretion of BFFLR on an individual basis.
All animals adopted are required to be neutered/spayed, as applicable
(contract will state specifics per animal)
No
BFFLR animals are to be used for breeding! *
BFFLR will require at
least 2 scheduled, individual, on-site “meet & greet” sessions.
This will allow all involved (animals and future care givers) to get
acquainted and receive visual demonstrations of basic care.
BFFLR
will require an inspection of the facility on which the animals will live, as
well as contact information for the Vet that will be caring for them medically.
If her managers, helpers, or 3rd parties of any sort will be
involved in the care process, their attendance to meet & greet sessions
would be welcomed & recommended. BFFLR
is not responsible for advising adopter of any agricultural requirements or
limitations impose by local governments. The
adopter is responsible for contacting local government offices to ensure they
are within the livestock/agricultural allowances for the area in which they
live.
No
animals will be delivered without a clearly understood and signed agreement.
BFFLR
reserves the right to maintain contact with adopters and request verification of
health records, if desired. As well
as, any animal that is no longer wanted will be returned to BFFLR unless other
arrangements, agreeable to all parties involved, have been made.
All
donations (adoption fees or otherwise) are non-refundable as the funds are put
to use immediately to continue and improve our efforts.
Thank you for understanding! J
* If breeding the adopted animal becomes desired, the adopter is
required to contact BFFLR to make special arrangements to purchase registration
papers from the original owner prior to allowing the adopted animal to
participate in any breeding activities. Although
it is not guaranteed, the purchase of registration paperwork can usually be
arranged.
